Alamance Regional Names New Director of Pastoral Care

Jonathan Freeman will also help care for employees across Cone Health.

GREENSBORO, N.C. May 17, 2017 – Jonathan Freeman, DMin, is the new director of pastoral care and counseling for Alamance Regional Medical Center. In this position, Freeman will have responsibility for the pastoral care and counseling team at Alamance Regional as well as the employee assistance counseling program for all of Cone Health.

Freeman joined Cone Health in 1997. He earned his doctor of ministry degree in pastoral psychotherapy from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Mishawaka, Indiana. Freeman obtained his master’s of divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Freeman performed his clinical pastoral education residency at Alamance Regional.

Freeman is a board-certified clinical chaplain and a North Carolina-certified pastoral counselor.
