SOC Telemed Creates teleNeurology Council
Brain Trust To Oversee Company’s Neurology Excellence Practices, Patient Outcomes and Quality
RESTON, Va. – Dec. 12, 2018 – SOC Telemed (SOC), the leader in acute care telemedicine, today announces the creation of the SOC teleNeurology Council, an internal body created for the advancement of remote neurology care. Comprised of renowned board-certified neurologists, the Council is designed to lead and expand SOC’s teleNeurology services while setting standards for industry leadership, patient care, outcome measurement and overall quality.
“At SOC, our neurology team partners with hospitals that are primary or comprehensive stroke centers to provide acute and routine neurologic care, including stroke and thrombolytic treatments. We also diagnose and treat conditions ranging from headaches, dementia and multiple sclerosis to epilepsy,” says SOC Telemed General Manager of Neurology, Mauricio Sirvent. “As we provide comprehensive neurology care across the country on a daily basis, we see it as our responsibility—to our partner hospitals and patients—to ensure we are continually reviewing and innovating our practices in an effort to continuously improve patient outcomes. That’s why we created the SOC Neurology Council,” explains Sirvent.
