Promotions and Achievements at Cone Health
These individuals have recently been hired, promoted or accomplished noteworthy professional achievements.
GREENSBORO – January 30, 2018 – Laurie Green, PharmD, has been promoted to director of operations for Women’s Hospital and the mother/baby service line. While she has responsibility for further improving service and patient care, Green continues as the pharmacy site manager for Women’s Hospital. She joined Cone Health as a clinical pharmacist in 1998.
Peter Koval, PharmD, has been named chair-elect of the Board of PharmacySpecialties® (BPS).
Koval becomes chair in 2019. BPS is a professional organization offering certifications to pharmacists meeting the organization’s high standards. Koval is the director of pharmacy education with the Greensboro Area Health Education Center. He also works with the Cone Health Family Medicine Residency Program.
Adam Peele, PharmD, has been promoted to director of oncology pharmacy at the Cone Health Cancer Center.
Peele is responsible for the pharmacies at the Cone Health Cancer Centers at Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Hospital, MedCenter High Point, MedCenter Mebane, Randolph Health and Wesley Long Hospital. Peele was formerly the system-wide oncology pharmacy manager.
Sandy Wilkins, RN, has been promoted to director of the Moses Cone Surgery Center.
She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the outpatient surgery facility at 1127 N. Church St., Greensboro. Wilkins has served as the assistant director of the outpatient surgery center since 2002.
