Healthiest Employers Awards Cambia Health Solutions Second Place Among Large Oregon Employers

PORTLAND, OCTOBER 31, 2014 – Healthiest Employers, a data analytics company that recognizes healthy workplaces, has ranked Cambia Health Solutions second among Oregon large employers competing in the annual statewide event.

All applicants submitted their wellness program to a rigorous 75-question survey developed by experts in health care, academics, wellness and human resources. Cambia placed highly by demonstrating its culture of workplace wellness through a broad range of activities:

• Leadership commitment: Leaders participate and walk the talk in the company’s workplace wellness program, with healthy lifestyle choices, leading weekly lunchtime walks with employees throughout the summer and participating in the Wild Canyon Games.
• Employee engagement: Cambia invests in employees to encourage healthy choices, from low monthly fee for its onsite gym to discounted prices for healthier meals at its café. Cambia employees also receive discounts on their health insurance premiums based on participation in wellness activities.
• Risk measurement: Free annual biometric screenings help employees monitor their risk factors, including blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass and weight, and provide a baseline to measure improvement.

This year, 400 business leaders attended the Healthiest Employers of Oregon awards ceremony, which was hosted by the Portland Business Journal at the Sentinel Hotel on Oct. 23.
